About 5 years ago, Julie called me. We small talked about five minutes. Her energy was off, I could tell something was wrong. She started to cry. “It’s my lungs, Anissa. I have a lung disease,” she cried. I remained strong for her, tried to say some encouraging words. The phone call ended on a high note, but I could not help but to feel scared for my friend. Three years later, Julie underwent surgery for a double-lung transplant. She was terrified. Julie shared how she may never be able to teach her daughter how to ride a bike or go on a hike. With God’s grace, Julie fully recovered. During her recovery, she wrote “The Gift.” It is a beautiful children’s book that was inspired by Julie’s personal recovery journey (CISION PRWeb, 2019). Personally, I am inspired by Julie. It took such strength, courage and discipline to overcome. Julie has been a gift to my life since I was 14 years old. I would love to help her market “The Gift.” Also, I hope someone else is inspired by her story and this book. You can find it on Amazon. Link below!
