My Digital Marketing Mastery Journey timeline states that I would learn target audience behaviors in the Consumer Behavior and Analysis course. I did just that! Knowing and learning to analyze the behavior of consumers is pivotal to a marketing campaign. Consumer behavior allows marketers know how and where to market their customers.
Week 1, I enjoyed the breakdown of the decision-making process. I related to the steps as a consumer and understand as a marketer that knowing where your customer is in their decision-making process, can help the marketer reach a lead.
Week 2, I learned a great deal about customer segmentation. Even though I was not happy with the grade I received on my Consumer Segmentation paper, the feedback I received was extremely helpful.
Week 3 allowed me to do some brainstorming on further marketing tactics my case study company can benefit from. While the company has a solid marketing plan currently, I had a few suggestions to expand their customer outreach.
Week 4 had a great discussion on the ethics of behavior targeting. Maintaining my integrity is extremely important to me and mine. I’d definitely would recommend a website to get consent from the consumers for tracking their behavior. I think people would be surprised how many would be okay with it.
Overall, it was a good course. Some of the content felt repetitive from prior courses in the digital marketing program. I plan to use the information I learned for my final project and for future clients.
